If you want to achieve your fitness goals within a short period, the only thing that can help you is working out in the gym. This, however, may not be possible for everybody. Take a look at these tips to gain weight at home.
Do not spend a fortune on Gym Equipments
Do not waste a lot of money on purchasing gym equipments, especially those that promise a leaner and fit body within two weeks. One may be able to do several exercises with the help of a barbell and dumbbells and these are the cheapest gym equipments available. If you aren’t sure as to what gym equipments you should buy, consult a fitness professional.
Use your Bodyweight
If you do not want to invest in equipments, using your bodyweight is in itself the best way you can gain weight at home. One can easily pack on a great amount of muscle without really lifting a dumbbell or barbell. Some body weight exercises that you can do at home include wide grill pull ups, chin ups, dips, push ups, bench dips and bodyweight rows.
Eat Little, but Frequently
Plan your diet such that it stays close to your work out time. Since you are working out at home, you can easily structure your diet around your workouts. Diet sums up at least 70% of the muscle mass that one puts on. Make sure that you eat complex carbohydrates for about an hour before working out and have a nutritious meal with protein, vitamins, carbohydrates and minerals within an hour of finishing the work out. Spread the meals evenly throughout the day and eat at least six meals instead of three large ones. Eating frequent and light meals helps promote fast metabolism and limit the storage of fat.
Avoid distractions when working out. One of the reasons why people end up stopping their workout regimen is because of distractions. Clear out an area of the house, preferably a corner as that helps keep from being distracted with whatever is happening in the house. You may listen to songs while working out. Alternatively, you may work out when no one’s home.
Consult a Fitness Professional
Notwithstanding what people say about home workouts and weight training, you must make sure that you consult a fitness expert if you are a beginner. A fitness professional is likely to offer better insights into an ideal workout regime for your body.
