To be open is to receive all things with all your mind, soul and spirit. But, it is much more than that. It is about believing that you are worthy of having such wonderful things. It is about you believing in yourself, that you are worthy. Everyone is worthy of great things.
We continually receive such wonderful gifts from the universe; the wonderful people which we have in our lives, our animals and the possessions which we own. We are open to receive all of it. We give our love openly and freely to our hearts content.
Our souls are happy with all of the blessings we have received and continue to receive. But for those who don’t feel worthy of receiving such wonderful gifts, they will not enjoy these blessings to the fullest. To not feel worthy of receiving is a frame of mind. It might be someone who hasn’t had such blessings before, leaving them unsure of how to understand the blessing which they received.
It is your responsibility to treasure and take care of what you receive. You have to appreciate what you have in order for you to receive more. What you have others may dream of having. Also, what you have others may not want nor desire.
To be open is to release all expectations. To release all expectations is to enjoy it when it comes or when it happens. It is about savoring the moment.
You can be open to change or to a new idea or someone else’s perspective. Each and every moment is like a huge gift wrapped box waiting to be opened. It’s like a surprise that offers little gifts to you; such as a great deal that you find while shopping, or money that you found in a coat pocket or an old friend that you ran into. It could also mean a new job, a raise or the reality that you are unhappy and are ready to move on and welcome new experiences and new love. Life is a surprise and you have to be open to the many changes that come with it.
Sometimes life forces us to change; layoffs, illness and the death of a loved one, to name a few. These are huge life changes. So you have to be open to a new and better job, to give your body and mind the time necessary to heal and to carry all of the wonderful memories with you as you start your new life. All of these things take courage and inner strength, and you have to have an open heart and an open mind every moment and embrace those changes with the reality that you are no longer the person you once were, you were made stronger.
Be open, kind and receptive to others needs as well. Respect their ideas and embrace who they are. We are all in this together so we must have an open mind and an open heart.
