TOWIE’s Jessica Wright boosts her bust with a boob job

Ok, we’ll admit it – a star of The Only Way Is Essex having a boob job is hardly headline news these days. In recent months, Amy Childs, Lauren Pope and Chloe Sims have all reportedly gone under the knife, so let’s be honest, an inflated bust is becoming pretty standard in England’s, er, classiest county.

However, Jessica Wright’s recent procedure has really caught the eye of the nation’s tabloid media, after she went from a modest 32C to a massive 32DD. Given that her face hardly looks procedure free – and is certainly never seen without a shovel-full of makeup – the 25-year-old is looking increasingly plastic.

Speaking to the Sun, a ‘source’ apparently close to the TV star said that the boob job was largely born out of jealousy of show colleague Amy’s breasts. The ‘friend’ added that Jessica’s brother Mark – known for being the show’s lothario character and nightclub owner – is thought to be less than pleased with her decision to have surgery.

“Mark's been a proper doughnut about it but I guess he's just looking out for his sister. He doesn't want his mates ogling her,” the mole commented. “It all came to a head the other week and even though Mark and their gran Nanny Pat were both adamant, she decided to do it.”

A real spat or just material for the hungry reality TV cameras? You can make up your own mind – and millions of the hit shows viewers are likely to have pretty varied opinions. But, above all, this story is just the latest example of how cosmetic surgery hasn’t just become big news in the UK, but also something celebrities are happy to flaunt and talk about. In fact, you can almost treat the girls of TOWIE and their breast implants as a microcosm of women up and down the land – young, hot and loaded ladies who know what they want and are happy to go under the knife to get it.

And in the TOWIE girls’ case, boob jobs can almost ben seen as an investment, given the demand for them to strip off for racy lads’ mag shoots since the show hit the airwaves last year. Having breast implants won’t automatically make you successful, but when your stock trade is glamour and beauty, it certainly can’t do you any harm – as the TOWIE girls are proving with their ever increasing share of the tabloid gossip pages…
