How and when should I give the wormer to my pet?
You should start the deworming of your dog or cat at the age of 2-3 weeks and should be given every 3 months. The wormer can be in a tablet form or can be an oral suspension. Tablets can be mixed in their food and given.

What does this medicine contain and will there be any adverse effects of it to my pet?
The main active ingredient in Drontal cat is Praziquantel and PyrantelPamoate. There are no adverse effects as such. Only in case if your pet is overdosed, that might cause nausea, vomiting, change in appetite or irregular bowel movements. In case the symptoms persist or get severe, you are suggested to take immediate veterinary help.

Do the worms show in stool of dogs/cats?
If your pet is infected with quite a lot of parasites, they might show in the stool after about 48 hours from being treated with the medicine.

Should I be concerned for my children playing with my pet infected with worms?
Some of the worms can get transmitted to human body as well. Roundworm is one of them which have a tendency of getting passed on to a human body quite easily, kids and infants being the most vulnerable.
