Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 1 - Don't Let Your Stomach Go Empty
Most people thought by starving they get to lose weight faster. Wrong! Our body will act like a vacuum cleaner which sucks in more calories than usual when food supply starts pouring in after prolonged hunger. Consequently, you stock up more calories and that's why those who try to lose fat via starving end up gaining more weight.
So, don't ever let your stomach go hungry. The moment it rumbles especially between main meals, give it some food (but healthy ones). And it will keep your metabolism boosted for consistent fat-burning.
Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 2 - Eat More to Lose Fat
I find that eating 3 big meals a day is not efficient in fat-burning as the calorie burned via increased metabolism upon meal intake usually cannot out-burn the calorie intake. That's because each big meal can easily contribute more calories than you need for the day. So, breaking your 3 main meals into 4-6 smaller meals work better in managing calorie intake. Majority discovers 5-meals-a-day works best for them. This tip works hand-in-hand with Tip 1 to keep you metabolically active and burn fat efficiently.
Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 3 - Increase Your Vegetable Intake
Vegetables provide good fiber and abundance of phytonutrients to satisfy your bodily needs. Moreover, fibrous food makes you feel full easily so you're less likely to overeat comparing to those who eat less veggies. Additionally, it takes more energy to break down the complex structure within the vegetable than the caloric value itself, resulting in a calorie deficit (more fat loss).
Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 4 - Stop Eating When 70% Full
To keep your food intake in check, you must first "listen" to your stomach. Don't overstuff your stomach until it becomes 80 or even 100% full. It hurts and fights back by burying the unused excess calories deep inside your fat stores. You grow hungry faster with 60%, so 70% is the optimal level.
Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 5 - Eat Slowly
In relation to Tip 4, your stomach requires about 10 - 20 minutes (rarely as fast as 2 minutes) to register satiety with your brain so your brain can signal a "stop" to your urge for food. As such, eating slowly allows you to work closely with your stomach. This is very effective in controlling weight gain and you'll naturally lose weight over time even with just this tip alone.
Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 6 - Avoid Drinking Too Much Water
We need water to function, just as a vehicle does. But excessive water, like fat, can cause harm to us such as brain damage or even death. So please, assess your water needs by checking your urine color. If it turns transparent or pale yellow, it means you're properly hydrated and do not need plenty of water. Just drink as per normal. Again, listen to your body.
Vegetarian Fat Loss Tip 7 - Get Quality Sleep
When we don't sleep well, our body will enter a metabolic disorder; either your metabolism runs abnormally high or the other way round. But in most cases, you'll experience sluggish metabolism upon poor sleep quality. So, if you want to get more fat burned at an efficient rate, get quality sleep by turning in before 11PM at night.
