BE ASSERTIVE AND GET WHAT YOU WANT!

We all desire to attain the best out of life. In order to do that, we must begin with knowing what we desire and being assertive in going after our goals.

1. It all starts with passion. What do you like to do? What are your interests?

2. Now ask yourself how you make money from these interests. This is the most important question.

3. Reality check: You are not the first person to think of whatever it is that you are thinking about -- how will you be unique, better, stronger, faster?

4. Take a step back from whatever it is that you are doing now. Take a trip, take a deep breath, slide back into your chair and scan the environment -- what do you see in the landscape? Where do you fit? Where do you see opportunity?
5. Create a timeline and set deadlines for yourself. How will you measure your progress?

6. Once you have a plan, take a step back and ask yourself whether or not it really is feasible.

7. Consult with others. Friends, family and people you trust: what do they think?

8. Realize that people will second-guess you. Can you handle that?

9. Ask yourself: are you willing to risk it all in order to potentially reward yourself down the road?

10. Understand that it will be rough, it will be hard, your will will be tested, and your resolve shall be challenged.

A Business Coaching Tip: Living life with inner acceptance, peace, confidence and spontaneity allows you to spend time in the now moments of your life. With this philosophy, you will enjoy and live life to the fullest. In other words, have fun. Be fun to be with. Don't take life or yourself too seriously. Know that business is a game. You win some and lose some, but in the losing there is growth and in the winning there is new opportunity. Be open to opportunities, to growth, and learning from everything life has to offer.
