Why Astrology?

So, why study astrology? I study astrology because I’ve been called to. Your reason for being attracted to astrology may be different. But if you are here, you are hear for a reason. Let yourself explore and play.

I personally believe that everything is divine energy vibrating at various frequencies. Although we are all divine energy, and thus one, each of our frequencies effect one another differently. (--Until you evolve beyond it-which may cause you to evolve out of this plane of existence- but that’s a different article.)

Just as you and I are divine frequencies, so are the planets. As frequencies the planets dance with and around one another signaling change blessings and evolution. The way the planets dance for you indicate your soul’s journey this lifetime. Their dance deeply details what you have in your toolkit to help you and what wounds you have to heal. As a collective consciousness called Earth, the planet’s dance, indicates where and how to raise our collective frequency to align with the divine.

Just as each human is different, each planet is different and has a specific role in the cosmic divine dance.

The Sun is our I am. It shows us who we essentially are and how divinity shines through us.

Mercury is the messenger of the Gods. He rules communication, ideas and inspiration. He is fast acting, light, and airy.

Venus is the delicious, divine enchantress. She brings beauty, harmony, light and joy wherever she goes. Her laughter is golden and infectious.

The Moon, is a reflecter of light signifying our subconscious, emotional state. It is also magical, hypnotic and is an important guide in following the soul's quest to evolve.

Mars is full of determination, grit and drive. He’s a fiery character who can be pushy, but has a warm, soft side if you catch him right.

Jupiter is the cosmic Sugar Daddy. Expanding and magnifying all he touches in a celebratory way. He brings good times, great tidings and a touch of the divine into everything.

Saturn is spirit’s gatekeeper. Saturn makes sure we get our work done so we can advance. He is often thought of as a taskmaster or oppressor, but this is not the case. Saturn ensures that you are ready to advance into spiritual realms. If you are not grounded in physicality, spirit can delude and elude you.

Neptune is a delicious, gentle cosmic mist. Obscure and subtle, Neptune spiritualizes and imparts creativity.

Uranus is many things, but never boring. As a higher octave of Mercury, Uranus brings sudden flashes of intuition, guidance and liberation. Uranus is divinity that happens when you’re not looking. Quick and deep, whatever Uranus touches will be changed forever.

Pluto, Lord of darkness serves as Mars’s higher frequency. Deep, penetrating, intense, powerful and sometimes painful, Pluto cleanses us of all we hold on to. Pluto pries our fingers from the pain and suffering that prevents us from cleaving to spirit. Pluto is all about transformation and leaving the underworld for the light drenched realms above.

This is just a glimpse into the Frequencies of these planets. As guided, I will provide more information about each one.

As dancers, the planets move in unique ways with and around each other. Signs are ruled by specific planets and are exemplified as particular types of dances, or expressions of that planet. (For example, Mars as a war dance or Venus as the samba, Jupiter as a drunken table dance-- As a Sagittarius, I get to say these things..) Where the planet provides the impetus or spark of creation, the sign itself is the manner in which the spark manifests, or the medium through which the planet’s energy expresses.

Aries, ruled by Mars, is the first sign of the zodiac and is the essence of individuality. It bursts on the scene bringing light, warmth, radiance, and freshness. It is the creative spark that differentiates us from one another and drives us to express our difference fully.

Taurus, ruled by Venus, is warm and sensual. Deeply connected to the earth and its rhythms, Taurus rules the home and ensures all physical needs are met.

Gemini, ruled by Mercury, is excitable, well versed and very intelligent. Gemini always knows a little bit about everything, and will tell you a little bit about everything.

Cancer, ruled by the Moon, is a watery, nurturing loving sign. Cancer is usually a homebody, very gentle and in tune with other’s emotions.

Leo, ruled by the Sun is playful, warm and feisty. Leos radiate vitality. They love attention, praise and admiration. Grant them this and they will love you forever.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury. Meticulous and nurturing; Virgos create a space for you to be grounded and nurtured in a very mindful, present way. They create order wherever they go, and will tell you the truth as they see it.

Libra, ruled by Venus, brings, grace, beauty and harmony. Dedicated to balance, rationality and peace they have a way of bringing together divergent viewpoints and making sure everyone feels heard.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto. Intense and powerful, yet at the same time, sensitive and fragile; Scorpio feels the need to connect and share deeply.

Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, is enthusiastic, warm and inquisitive. Joyfully combining the sacred and profane in one extremely full glass of wine, Sagittarius seeks to inspire all.

Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is all about achievement and ambition. Despite these earthly bindings, Capricorn has a wisdom that conveys divine connection and inspiration.

Aquarius, ruled by Uranus, is quite the visionary. Seeing and creating space for all expressions in a unique, logical fashion is Aquarius’s gift.

Pisces ruled by Neptune, is about oneness. Swimming in a sea of emotions, Pisceans embody what surrounds them. They are constant well springs of love, compassion, and service.

This is only a taste of what astrology is and what the signs and planets have to say. There is much more to share. All will manifest in due time with patience and faith.

So, why study astrology? To better understand the dance of the universe and your role in it. We each have a unique step and a special role to play in elevating the frequency of planet Earth. Studying the planets as they whirl across the cosmic stage in different signs gives us an idea of ways in which to raise our frequencies, and assist others in doing the same.

This is why I study astrology, and this is why I am an astrologer: to help others step in time with their soul’s rhythm and raise the frequency of the planet.
