Workout, But Don't Kid Yourself

IrongeezerSays: "Workout, But Don’t Kid Yourself!"

How many times have you said, “I worked out for an hour and a half today?” Don’t kid yourself. Whether it was in the gym, on your bike, swimming, running or walking, how long did you actually workout?
Next time use your stop watch or bike computer to keep track of the minutes, and you will find that your hour and a half workout was not 90 minutes. In most cases, it will be far less than you thought.

For example, sitting on a machine between sets in a gym is NOT working out. Stopping at a signal while biking, running, or walking, is NOT working out. Resting at the end of your swim lane is NOT working out.
Don’t kid yourself; keep accurate records by timing yourself. It's the net time that counts.
