Is Your Career Against the Wall?
How to Turn Major Problems into Unlimited Solutions and Success
Sometimes our lives and careers get into situations that I will refer to as “Against the Wall.” What I mean is that situations or circumstances have become so uncomfortable, actually so miserable that we have to make a change. The wall, the problem or problems, appears hard and immovable. We are backed up against it. We may even be pinned against it and we feel as if there are no solutions.
In actuality, there are no solutions if we keep thinking and doing what we’ve always done. Trying to solve problems with the same strategy that created them will only make them worse. Being up against the wall requires a new way of thinking.
We sometimes need the pain of being up against the wall to propel us into the unlimited expanse of our potential and creativity. Being up against the wall forces us to reexamine and question everything. Suffering compels us to dig inside ourselves to the center of our being for answers. Although we may want to claw our way off of the wall, or pull out our guns and shoot anything in front of us, the way to get off of the wall is to surrender and rest against it. We have to feel the pain and let it teach us.
Being against the wall requires that we dig deep and excavate the answers that can only be found at our center. Once we hear the answers, and formulate a plan, helpers will come to our aid. Then a path will open before us. And with creativity and courage, we can move forward off of the wall and into the solutions and success.
