Is Your Home Killing You?
By Nigel Percy

The biggest unrecognized threat to your health and well-being is the unseen environment you live in.
I'm not talking about electricity or carbon-monoxide, but the other unseen energies which we all live with.
These energies are mainly electro-magnetic in origin. As the human body is a delicately balanced mechanism which relies on electrical signals to communicate within and between cells, anything which disrupts such processes is potentially very dangerous.
And the interference can be very weak. As long as it is continually in your environment, then you are at risk.
One of the most dangerous places can be your bed, because you spend so much of your time there. Anything which is affecting your body there, even if weak, can have substantial impact on your health and well-being.
For example, it is an established fact that water flowing underground through rocks creates a vertical electromagnetic field. If you happen to be sleeping over that narrow band of current, you will begin to exhibit sickness in one way or another.
In Europe, houses situated over underground streams are known as Cancer Houses for very good reason. A much higher percentage of the inhabitants die from cancer than their neighbors. Research has repeatedly shown that problems in the environment are the cause of problems in health. So much so, that one leading German cancer researcher has said that cancer is a disease of location.
But cancer is not the only concern here. And neither is underground water.
There are many types of energy which can affect you. It doesn't have to be electrical in origin (although that is the one to which most of us are exposed most often). Underground water and electromagnetic fields from such things as cell phones, earth energy fields and even curses can all affect you. The general term for such problems is 'geopathic stress'.
The World Health Organization has estimated that 30% of all buildings should be classed as unhealthy based on the symptoms being shown by the people inside them. That figure is bad enough, but it does not take into account the threats already mentioned.
This is not something new. People have known about such things for a long time. The Roman writer, Plutarch, in the 1st Century CE, wrote “Men are affected by streams of varying potency issuing from the Earth. Some of these drive people crazy or cause disease or death, the effects of others are good, soothing and beneficial.”
The Vikings had laws forbidding ships to enter port with the fierce figureheads in place for fear that the spirits of the land would be scared off and the land prove barren.
The Chinese, of course, have long acknowledged the importance of having the energetic nature of the land being in harmony with the people.
Because the nature of the effects vary from person to person, it is very difficult to list a definitive set of symptoms.
The reason for this is that, as each environment is different, and as each person's metabolism and weaknesses are different, so the way in which each person reacts is going to be different.
Different symptoms, different illnesses, different problems. But the same cause!
However, there are some symptoms of geopathic stress which have been seen in many cases. For example, sleeping poorly at home but sleeping well elsewhere is often an indicator. Having traditional treatments for ailments not working is also common. So is experiencing areas of hot and cold in your home which can't be easily explained, or having panic attacks (especially at night).
Maybe you have constant low-level illnesses which don't clear up or a string of complaints specific to one area of the body. All such things can indicate geopathic stress n your environment.
Outside, having many ants' nests close to the house, or areas where your animals don't want to go or stay can be very helpful in identifying problems.
But what if you aren't sure? How can you tell if your home is suffering?
Although there are gadgets and meters you can buy, the simplest, oldest and still the most effective method of evaluating a property is through dowsing.
In fact, dowsing is the method suggested by some German doctors to help identify geopathic stress. They have found that simply by moving the beds of patients, they can dramatically reduce the problems and, in some case, no other treatments are required!
If you can't dowse, then get someone who can, or get a professional in to check out your environment. You might well be surprised at how much your life is being negatively affected by the things you cannot see in your environment.
