Imagine a satellite camera orbiting our planet being able
to take a video of you standing in the middle of an open field.
A close up so vivid and clear that it looks like HD TV. Then the
camera begins to zoom away very slowly farther and farther away.
How far would the camera zoom away before you were no longer
visible in that video? You would be out of range before the field was no longer visible, then the area, and then the city, and then county, and then the state, and then the country, and then the continent and finally the camera would have the entire earth in its view. Anyone one of us who think we are “all that”
should definitely consider this concept. Alone we are merely an invisible, insignificant speck of nothing. The only thing about mankind that has ever made us anything is when we are together.
Today the mentally of most of mankind has centered existence
around each person as an individual entity separate from all
others. Starting from the highest office in government to the
most destitute of street people everyone is out for themselves regardless of who they have to bother, rob, assault, rape, molest or kill to satisfy their ego. The people that are supposed to protect us from harm and prejudice with morality and censorship like our government at all levels, our justice system at all levels, our religious organizations, our teaching
institutions and even our own family and friends have failed
miserably. We are so greedy and self centered a people that we
are not only destroying each other and ourselves we are
destroying our planet. How long do you think it will take before
mankind changes things for the better? Will we all be dead and gone before it can ever happen. There are so many people that
believe there is nothing after death. This concept creates a
frame of mind that allow them not to feel responsible for
whatever they do. How convenient is that! Would you rather take
the risk while you are alive full of disregard for life itself
believing that there are no consequences for your actions and possibly pay the price for eternity or are you a person that
has something you rarely find in any human, the common sense to
prepare yourself for death by living a good life not only for
yourself but for all mankind. For those of us that are prejudice, remember that if you peel back the skin or stand in total darkness we all look the same. There are certain
undeniable things that we all have in common such as; we all are
created equal, we are all human, we all look alike in total
darkness, we all bleed, we are not invulnerable, we all must eat
and breathe to survive and we all will someday die. It is truly
pathetic to imagine the world that we are creating for our children. Parents of today either give in to their children’s requests because they are so afraid that their children will hate them or call an abuse center for children or they beat them
so severely that some of them end up dead. When I was 10 years
old and walking alone down the street of the city in the daytime there were so many people, no matter what race or religion, that
would say as they walked by “How are you doing son?” I would
reply “Very good (Sir or Ma’am) and how are you?” We were not
allowed out past curfew. Today I am 56 years old and I never no what to expect at any time day or night. So many of us feel that
we have the right to say and do anything we want no matter who
agrees or disagrees. Isn’t it odd that when people are saying or
doing anything that is moral and agreeable to all of humanity no
one knows and no one cares, but whenever anyone wants to say or
do anything that is immoral or that anyone else might disagree
with it all of a sudden becomes a civil rights issue and a
reason to rally as an activist. If what you are saying or doing
is so right, then why do you need to force other people to
accept it? I have decided to change a phrase that is probably as
old as mankind itself. Instead of referring to it as common
sense, since it isn’t common anymore, I am going to call it
“Rare Sense.”
For the skeptics, I don’t believe that I am a know
it all, I merely want a better existence for everyone. If you
have all the answers, then please share them!
