Not All That Is Glitter Is Gold

“Beauty they say is in the eye of the beholder” My most interesting and fascinating habit is observing people and their character, I just enjoying seeing different ways and attitude of people.
I took my time to study friends family, and the people that I come in contact with, even hang around them for 30mins, I always learn a lot about them.
7 words I discovered about human character is this” NOT ALL THAT IS GLITTER IS GOLD” Human beings are actors and actresses in character, we always act what we are not, we know how to deceive the world by our acting, but I believe we are only deceiving our self!”
There is nothing wrong in carrying ourselves in a respectful way, but it got worst when we are pretending to be who we are not.
I feel so sorry to see some people that always want to dress like the Joneses, driving the car like the Thomases and living in the house they can’t afford because the Roland’s are living in an expensive house.
I’ve seen a lot under the sun!” Ladies that want to walk like the other babes because they believe this must be in vogue, I am telling the truth! I have counsel some people that will tell me they are living this life because they see other people living the same life and they claim to be doing the right thing some of them even quote God and use His name to excuse their silly and immature way.
One day this woman came to me and she asked me what is she doing wrong by wanting a good life and wearing a designer clothe? She goes why can’t she show the goodness of God in her life and I replied her like this! “Yes you are very right! As long as you can provide for your way of life and as long as you don’t beg anyone for food and loaning you some money, I don’t know why anyone should have problem with you?
She paused for a second and confessed to me by saying “ Sola I think I have problem here, I goes Oh, lets here it! “ she told me how she has been struggling and she had to borrow money to be able to keep up with fashion and the kind of life she is living.
My encouragement to all that is living like this! Be yourself! “Who do you want to impress? Even when you wear your best or you drive the best car not many people take notice anyway!
Material goods does not make a man, what makes a man is what is inside of a man, people want to see what you are made of not what you made of yourself.
Be simple and be happy with what you have, If you want something good, work smart for it and enjoy your life, you don’t always want to proof yourself to anyone just be yourself to every one and you will be loved.
I remember when I use to work in fashion and beauty, what I wear and the skin care I used were very expensive simply because I worked for the company. I am allowed 70% of any purchase and some I got free for patronizing my company at the time, but some of my girlfriends then will want to compete with me and waste their money on vanity which I will never do!
Wisdom is the principle things, we need to think wisely and shop smartly, not every necklace that you see shinning is gold, there are polished gold, and there are GL’s, ML’s ..,
Listen to this:
1. Wait for the time you can afford to live big and enjoy your way now to your destinations.
2. Live in the house you can afford, don’t try to impress anyone, live a simple life.
3. Love yourself and stop comparing, weather you like it or not there will always be some babe’s that are prettier, slimier, rounder, lighter, Darker, taller shorter, smarter...
4. Be contented with who you are, what you have and what you can do.
I made up my mind to just be myself so that I can feel good and happy in all that I do.
Yours in encouragement
