Boosting The Memory With Super Foods

What do blueberries, tea, and cocoa have in common? They really have a lot in common; for one thing they are all considered "super foods" and should be included in our everyday diets. Another thing, they are marvelous snack and pick me up foods. Last but not least they all have what they call flavanol in them; which is a powerful antioxidant. Now they are saying that eating these super foods along with exercise can boost your memory powers.
So far the tests have been done on mice and have been very favorable; the next step will be older canines and then on to humans. How this all seems to work is that it keeps the blood vessels strong and in good growth patterns.
Blueberries have been the most popular with the anti-aging communities for a very long time and still holds a high recommendation. Eating blueberries improves heart function, boosts immunity, is a brain stimulant and a cancer fighter. It is sometimes called the "brain berry"; they are also rich in fiber and can boost cardiovascular health, it is good to eat at least 1 cup fresh, ½ cup frozen per day and the good news is that blueberries maintain most of their nutritional power in dried or frozen form.
Cocoa (Chocolate), the first thing to remember about chocolate is that it needs to be dark chocolate and preferably organic and then it needs to be at least 70% cocoa, preferably 75% or higher and with no more than 5% grams of sugar. So you see this isn't a soft sugar laden candy treat, but you will find that it takes care of that chocolate urge many of us have and with that it is actually very healthy for you. The health food store has a nice variety of chocolate bars that fall within these guidelines, so they are out there readily available for us the general public.
Tea has many benefits, it can lower cholesterol, help repair smoking-related DNA damage, lower risk of developing kidney stones, speed up metabolism, control blood sugar, create a calmer, more alert state of mind. When you look at the benefits of drinking tea it really makes switching from coffee to tea a really huge healthy choice.
Green tea is known for its high phytonutrients, which are also antioxidants, when we are working on loosing weight and/or getting our body to perform in an ultimate way, tea also works as reducing inflammation, detoxify, and increasing metabolism,
