Teacher
The question was asked "what do you mean?"
The student speaking in front of the class...
a teacher of men with authentic precision
they approach the proof with nervous disposition.
"This one will work, holding XY rendition"
"The variable is"...the student speaks
"not the question" (in a nearly in-audible voice)
"but the choice"...the teacher approaches the class.
"Who in the discipline can recite the ultimate truth?"
"Who here...is the best student?"
A small gentleman known only as Judas
suddenly exclaims "Why of course"
to the teacher, known as Yeshua.
"There was never any doubt for me...it is you."
Peter growled "he's the teacher you fool!"
The teacher calmly spoke
"he is correct."
"The best teachers...were they not...
all once students too?"

Space age Town
I grew up in a one-horse, space age town
where supersonic flight won it's crown
memories from the age of two, sonic booms inbound
would scare the bejesus out of you.
Jet enginges scribing thin air on high
at three pm "angel biengs" in the corner of my eye
telling me with feelings "It'll all be ok"
I know they scare you...they frighten us too.
I have climbed into the cockpit of an X-15
the smell inside "too technical" to understand..
death felt far too close...at hand.
Played inside a C-130 for an hour
while a pilot talked with my old man.
I've touched the razor leading edge of the YF-12 wing
Spent twenty minutes of my young life inside the "zone"
the dead quiet anechoic chamber, you realize the sound
nothing but your breathing, your heartbeat, and bones..
quietly at twelve, in a one horse, space age town.
