How To Gain Ultimate Freedom From Fear

The Presence Of Fear Is Proof You Are Focusing On The Wrong Thing
One day, I was asked, "What is the leading factor of all unfulfilled dreams?"
After thinking about it awhile, I realized the answer was obvious. Fear! Fear imprisons a person and keeps them from going after their dreams.
The presence of fear is proof that you are focusing on the wrong thing. You must discipline yourself to take captive the fearful thoughts that are attempting to cripple and immobilize you. You will become whatever you allow yourself to mentally dwell upon. Deal with those fearful thoughts severely, imprisoning them as the dream thieves that they are. Throw them out and replace them with thoughts of belief, faith and success.
Success is really no more than the willingness to face your fears and act regardless of them. How many songs are unwritten because of fear? How many speeches have gone unspoken because of fear? How many dreams have been unfilled because of this thing called fear? Franklin D. Roosevelt says, "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our fears of today."
Fear paralyzes. It disrupts one's ability to make decisions. It robs people of their resolve to succeed. Fear, if left unchecked, will stop all forward progress and cause one to fail.
During the worst years of the Great Depression, President Franklin D. Roosevelt told the American people, "The only thing to fear is fear itself."
Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, once said, "The only thing I am afraid of is fear."
Francis Bacon is quoted as saying, "Nothing is terrible except fear itself."
It seems that throughout history, great achievers have come to the same conclusion time after time: it's not the actual circumstances that threaten to destroy us - it's our own fear of them.
