Taking Action: the First Step Towards Success
By Sharon Capehart

Are you comfortable with where you currently are in your life or is there a gnawing feeling of discomfort that just keeps invading your mind? It may be time for you to take some kind of action to change your situation or to improve yourself. Taking action requires a definitive plan that will get you to where you are supposed to be. Without a set plan, then your steps will be haphazard and wasted.

All of us have choices in our lives to whatever we do or don’t want to do. The choice to take action is only yours. No one else can do it for you. You must be responsible for your own actions. However, it would be helpful to find someone who can make you accountable for certain goals that you have set for yourself. This may be a coach, a mentor or a friend.

This is someone that you must trust and develop a relationship with so that you can be supported in your long-term and short-term goals and plans. To take action, you may need a little prodding from someone who will help you to get started on your master plan, acknowledge your abilities, be the sounding board to listen when you have doubts and help you to stay focused.

In order to take action sooner rather than later, it is best to have realistic goals that you will be able to accomplish. Too often, this is what puts individuals in a standstill mode of what is not productive.

Moving forward requires the determination to see positive changes in your life, to realize that there is good beyond the present and be sensible enough to take the initiative to find it.

Action is the only means or method of implementing or manifesting our desires. You will no longer be held back by insecurities and fear. Action stimulates your mind into thinking that you can do anything. Your inner thoughts translate the actions that you take. Your mind will line up with the process of movement. Action is an energy vibration that reacts to the thoughts that you hold true to self. It is the positive creation that expands your ability to embrace change. When your thoughts and action are in line with each other, you will experience full manifestation of self.

Pursuit of your dreams will enable you to act in accordance with the reality that there is hope and prompt you to take the action required for such fulfillment. If your intention is to succeed and you know that action is necessary to make it possible, then you have to hold yourself responsible for any inactivity on your part.

If you have a true vision of your success and believe in yourself, taking action will become easier and the picture that you have in your mind will materialize with certain strategic steps to get you to that place of purpose. Some of us freeze up with fear, but fear is only an illusion. Take one action at a time and you will find your destination.
