Description: | March 10-11, 2018, 8:30am-5:30pm both days Na Wahine o ka Mana (pronounced Na-Vah- Hee-Nay Oh Kah-Mah-Na)? Na Wahine o ka Mana is Hawaiian for "The Power of Women." The Power of Women International Summit brings a resilient vision of change to the Northwest. Attendees will hear stories from an incredible lineup of phenomenal women who will share their aloha, their truth, wisdom, intelligence, and philosophy which will inspire and empower. Each session is built to complement each other, so attending for two days is highly recommended. We exist in a world of multiple epistemologies, ways of knowing and each speaker brings a unique part of the greater whole. After listening and engaging with these trailblazer and wayfinding leaders, attendees can equip themselves with the resources to create a cohesive world, starting with you then all of humanity. Some of these stories will make you laugh, and some will make you cry. It may push your boundaries and challenge the status quo, but it's real, it's visceral, and it's raw. And change does not only come in the time of comfort it also comes in the moments of pain, suffering, and ambiguity. In fact, it happens in between those moments. The moment when each side seizes trying and surrender to being transformed. That's hard stuff, and we need all the help that we can get! So, build your tribe by surrounding yourself with other mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, and partners. To come together as a sisterhood of women who are wanting to redefine our future by co-creating cohesive communities, schools, workplaces, and organizations in the pursuit of transforming and healing our world. Not just for the sake of women, but for the sake of all humanity! Although women of color uniquely produced the Summit, the Summit is created on the foundation of Aloha, which means that all women from all backgrounds, experiences, and identities are invited to attend. If you identify with the female spirit, please join us! $75.00 or $50.00 for students. Presented by Power of Women International Summit. |
