Some of my thoughts...

Resilience is knowing there is light in a place of darkness and reaching out for it.

The first step in making a choice is knowing you have one.

When we judge ourselves harshly, we judge others harshly as well. Let go and celebrate each person you meet, and in the process, celebrate yourself.

Getting Started With Alison Benedict

Peaceful Living is about attaining a greater level of peace within and surpassing what was once believed possible. Your beliefs guide your destiny.

Life choices are based upon how you see yourself. If you believe you are worthless, you will make choices, which reflect these beliefs. You will teach your partner, children and those around you how to treat you based upon these same beliefs. Have you taught your children that their wants and needs are more important than yours? Do you try to please everyone and feel resentful about being taken for granted?

Are you walking through life as if you were a robot, shut down, on autopilot? Do you feel an emptiness inside that you are constantly trying to fill with drinking, over-eating, gambling, shopping or TV? Did you attend residential school? Are you ready to let go of behaviours that harm and develop a healthier, more positive outlook on life?

Counselling helps you develop better tools for today, while helping you understand the underlying reasons for what you do. Counsellors do not judge or advise you. You are the expert on your experience, feelings and relationships. You create your goals. We work together to accomplish them.
