I'm really big on responsibility. Many people, many groupls, the government would like to tell me how to live my life, but I prefer the responsibility of my own decisions.
Let me tell you the story of how I came to take responsibility for my own health.
I've dealt with a whacked-out pituitary gland for most of my life, probably caused by a drunk driver hitting my parent's car in my eleventh month. My malleable infant skull hit the door panel with enough force to remove the skin from my forehead. Even minor concussions can damage the pituitary.
After a childhood of going to doctors because, according to my mother, "something wasn't right," symptoms exploded when I hit puberty. Doctors didn't know what the symptoms meant, and as far as I could tell, they didn't care, either.
Things spiraled down from there until I finally found an excellent doctor, the late Robert Hamburg in Detroit. Based on a mountain of tests, he finally put a name to my symptoms, panhypopituitarism.
Shortly after the diagnosis, we moved, and I had to find another doctor The doctors I found were more like the doctors of my childhood than like Dr. Hamburg. These doctors didn't know what to do about pituitary problems, and they didn't particularly care.
Dragging my way through life, I realized I had to look beyond doctors and find a way to feel better on my own. So I started to study. Thanks to Dr. Hamburg's diagnosis, I knew the problem; I just needed to find some answers.
I've been studying for thirty years now, and doctors tell me the diagnosis must have been wrong because I doing too well. People with pituitary problems don't do this well. But I remember where I was and what I went through. And I know that Dr. Hamburg was an internationally recognized diagnostician.
Things haven't changed much for people with thyroid, adrenal, etc. problems. Most patients don't do well. Without help from somewhere, they're doomed to live a kind of half-life. So now I'm sharing my research and my experiences to help others.
I think in sound bites, so I write quotes. My brother said I developed material like Henny Youngman. Henny Youngman!! My brother's fully recovered now, which is good because he was talking about methodology, not content.

My guiding belief is God custom-created each one of us for a purpose and put in us everything we need to fulfill it. Achieving our purpose isn't a lay-up, but it's doable.
I go on about how we mess things up with PC conformity. Plus the tendency for people to slip-slide through life instead of living purposefully. Both result in a beige kind of half-life. Why is anybody content with that?
