Brenda Adelman grew up in Brooklyn with a sexy, bohemian artist mother and an alpha male Jewish wanna be Italian stallion father. Big characters. Big laughs. Until that fateful night in 1995. Mom was shot. Dad was jailed. His gun, the weapon never found. He quickly move din with and then married Brenda's aunt, her mother's sister. Three years later and in a deep depression Brenda started writing very dark poetry that led to penning her powerful and often times funny one-woman show about the power of forgiveness.
Adelman received a Master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology in 2001, received a best actor award for a short film called, Daddy's Girl, about her one-woman show, My Brooklyn Hamlet, and is the recipient of a Hero of Forgiveness award from The Hawaii International Forgiveness Project.
Adelman has performed her show and/or spoken on her 3 Step Forgiveness Process for thousands of audience members as diverse as the US Military, trainers in the field of domestic violence, women prisoners, abuse survivors, college and high school students and faculty, youth at risk and for theatre festivals worldwide.
She is passionate about teaching people how to take responsibility for the next steps in their lives by making healthy choices from a place of self-love and self-forgiveness. Brenda coaches one-on-one over the phone or in person and leads teleclasses when time permits.
