Carolyn's approach to couples and marriage counseling comes from research not pop psychology. In fact, her approach comes from the 30 years of research done by John Gottman, Ph.D. By studying all kinds of marriages, both happy and unhappy, Dr. Gottman has identified the predictors of happy, stable marriages and divorce.
