I am a certified and NYS licensed psychoanalyst in private practice for 20 years with an office in NYC. I am on the faculty of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, and the New York Graduate School of Psychoanalysis in NYC, where I teach research, supervise and work as a training analyst for psychoanalytic candidates. I received my doctorate from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis in 2013. My research was on the topic of Siblings of Schizophrenics. I work closely with the analysand to conquer the blocks that get in the way of having the life they want. Understanding ones own problems and those of others in a new light can enhance ones ability to genuinely connect to people and be open to love. Rethinking repetitive behaviors can help to rid frustrating patterns and discover new options. Gaining the emotional tools to steer life with more intention can lead to achieving enduring change.
Developing the ability to use your emotions to understand your thinking can encourage greater flexibility, playfulness, and more room for pleasure. I provide therapy in a safe environment where you can feel comfortable and at ease to talk freely. My approach is to work with each person to adapt the treatment to your specific needs. Talking, in a safe nonjudgmental setting, genuinely leads to personal growth, greater satisfaction, and an expansive sense of well-being.
