Charyn returned to school in 1992 after serving 4 years in the military and in 1998, graduated from CSU, Long Beach with a B.S. in Public Health. She left the public health arena five years later, after working with women in addiction recovery and state-funded programs. This was a very difficult path: trying to help women who are stuck in survival mode. Having sunk into a depression from not being able to see any changes in the lives of the women enrolled in the programs, Charyn resigned. But, six months before leaving, she became a Certified Massage Therapist.
Charyn started her new career teaching anatomy & physiology at the school where she became a massage therapist. Going into massage opened up a whole new world, especially in the realm of energy work. Charyn has studied and practiced massage therapy & bodywork, Body Talk, CranioSacral Therapy, Spiritual Healing, and Energy Healing. In 2008, Charyn completed a 3-year program, graduating as an Aromatherapist. Charyn has taught & facilitated workshops and classes in aromatherapy basics, flower essences, energy basics, body talk & emotional healing as well as being an author, writer and mixed-media artist. Recently Charyn has spoken on a panel to bring awareness of women’s experiences in the military, especially in the area of sexual harassment/assault and the suppression of the feminine identity after serving a total of 13 years in the military. She is currently a member of Women’s Momentum Business Center and a speaker for Herstory.Charyn returned to school in 1992 after serving 4 years in the military and in 1998, graduated from CSU, Long Beach with a B.S. in Public Health. Charyn has a website & blog, which is currently under construction: http:www.whenwelistentotrees.com. Learning to live with awareness and make conscious choices in regards to our health, environment, healing & personal power, in conjunction with the natural and unseen worlds, offers us the opportunity to make our lives more scentual, simple, authentic, memorable and magickal.
"You cannot solve a problem at the level at which it was created". ~Albert Einstein. I love this quote because it basically says, if you want a solution to something you're dealing with, you have no choice but to grow to get it.
"You'll never rise any higher than how you see yourself [right now]". ~Joel Osteen.
"The Truth will set you free. But first it will piss you off." ~Gloria Steinem
While Charyn is still getting things off the ground on her website, it's best to check back frequently as she will be adding more blog information, free downloads, putting up items in "Charyn's Colorbox" and offering Coaching/Facilitation services.
