Writing, Editing, Writing Coach Expert

Clarice is a writer, editor and writing coach whose goal is to help spiritually-oriented people express their knowledge in writing so it can move forward to  empower, heal and transform the lives of others.

Clarice does this by helping her clients brainstorm, research, organize, write and edit communications in the most appropriate format for the audience and purpose. Examples of formats include articles, press releases, website copy, nonfiction book proposals, book manuscripts, e-books and more.

As a lifelong learner, teacher, writer, mentor and spiritual seeker, Clarice has constantly sought to understand how human beings can achieve their full potential. She strongly believes in the original meaning of education, which is to "draw out," not to "stuff in." She believes that when we go within, we connect to Source, to all the wisdom and creative power within the universe.

She is fascinated by the latest research on how the brain, heart, body and emotions work together to foster learning. She is also fascinated by writing's ability to stimulate learning, creativity and healing.

Most of all, Clarice has an enormous respect for the way in which putting our words down on paper helps us invent new worlds, become conscious of what we actually think and feel, acquire knowledge, and heal. She is in awe of the almost magical way in which we can manifest our goals when we clearly express in writing who we are and how we intend to serve others.

Clarice has an M.A. in Writing with an emphasis on Publishing and an M.A. in Linguistics with an emphasis on teaching English as a second language (ESL). She has extensive experience teaching university writing composition and ESL courses to people from around the world, as well writing and editing professional communications ranging from business letters, brochures and press releases to newsletters and complex international sales proposals.

In addition to her professional writing, editing and coaching services, Clarice also teaches classes on writing, publishing, creativity and learning.

Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force...When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand. Ideas actually begin to grow within us and come to life.
—Brenda Ueland

The universe is made of stories, not atoms.
―Muriel Rukeyser

Doing the work you love is about getting off the “road.” It’s about getting back in touch with the invisible stream of possibility. You have never been in this moment before. And when you enter this moment with excitement and love, you change the possibility of every possibility. Our work is about shining, growing our light, not limiting it.

―Tama Kieves

Committing our ideas to paper forces our minds to slow down, which gives us the opportunity to become conscious of what we are actually thinking. Writing is a critical tool that enables us to understand ourselves and acquire knowledge itself.
―James Pennebaker

A writer is not so much someone who has something to say as he is someone who has found a process that will bring about new things he would not have thought of if he had not started to say them. That is, he does not draw on a reservoir; instead, he engages in an activity that brings to him a whole succession of unforeseen stories, poems, essays, plays, laws, philosophies, religions.
―William Stafford
