Cormac Moore, NLP Youth Education Coach works specifically with teenagers and young adults helping them overcome personal and academic problems they may face in life.
Cormac is Ireland’s youngest ever qualified coach, accredited nationally by the Irish Institute of NLP and internationally by the Society of NLP.
While studying a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Venture Management and Biotechnology, Cormac took time away from his studies to travel to the UK to study under world renowned TV hypnotist Paul McKenna PhD and NLP Co – Founder Dr. Richard Bandler.
Returning, Cormac tested out his newly acquired skills by taking the tools of NLP to discover the learning strategies that students who achieved over 500 points or more in the Leaving Certificate used. He extensively interviewed and modelled 30 of these high achieving students while at the same time undertook research with 1000 exam year students in 7 schools around the Dublin, Meath and Kildare area.
Taking all this information he piloted a learning strategies course that looked into not only the learning side, but also looked at the aspects of attitude and motivation in exam success.
Cormac’s detailed research into NLP recently got published by the Innovation Taskforce, Dept. Of The Taoiseach 2010. His thesis “NLP in Education: A Vital Catalyst in the Success of Ireland’s Knowledge Economy” formed part of their comprehensive report.
After completing his formal education Cormac returned to further his skills and knowledge in the field of NLP, training with the Irish Institute of NLP where he completed his Master Practitioner Certification and was accepted onto their Life and Business Coaching Course.
Cormac’s dedication and passion under the watchful eye and guidance of his trainers and mentors Owen Fitzpatrick and Brian Colbert, ensured that he quickly became regarded as one of the Institute's - and Country's - top coaches.
An intelligent and creative agent of change, Cormac uses a mix of powerful psychological approaches together with his infectious - sometimes controversial - sense of humour and ability to put people at ease, allowing those he works with to get the results they want. Cormac's programs, seminars and workshops are always interactive, entertaining, enlightening and inspiring, making the transitions people go through effortless and enjoyable.
Cormac continually ensures that his skills are up to date and sharp so that he can be as effective as possible. An avid student of psychological change, he is consistently studying various different approaches from hypnosis to NLP, right across to quantum psychology, neurology and biology.
Some of Cormac’s biggest influences have come from Dr. Richard Bandler, Anthony Robbins, Robert Anton Wilson, Noam Chomsky, Brian Colbert, Owen Fitzpatrick, Prof Finbarr Bradley, Paul McKenna PhD, Michael Neill and Jim Rohn.
Cormac strongly believes that education is about more than just memorising facts and information. He believes that true education is about developing and nurturing your potential, ambitions, passions and ideas. When this is done, people are happier, more successful and that has a direct and positive impact on those around them and the society in which they live.
