Daniel J. Tomasulo, Ph.D., TEP, MFA is a psychologist, psychodrama trainer and writer on faculty at New Jersey City University and formerly a visiting faculty member on fellowship at Princeton University. He has gained international recognition for development of IBT, the Interactive-Behavioral Therapy model of group psychotherapy for people with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities. He is a consultant for YAI, National Institute for People with Disabilities in New York City and on the editorial board for the journal Mental Health Aspects of Developmental Disabilities. He is also a consulting editor for The Journal of Group Psychotherapy. Psychodrama,and Sociometry, and recipient of both their Innovator's Award and Scholar's Award for development of the IBT Model.
He is the author of Action Methods in Group Psychotherapy as well as numerous articles on group psychotherapy. He is coauthor of Healing Trauma:The Power of Group Treatment for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the American Psychological Association's first book devoted to psychotherapy for people with intellectual disabilities. In 2005 Dr.Tomasulo was honored as a co-recipient of the Statewide Healthcare ProviderAward by the ARC of New Jersey.
