Danette M. Schott is founder of S-O-S Research, a small research company providing information on "invisible" special needs for parents, teachers, and other professionals. These special needs include high-functioning autism, Asperger's, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, mental illness, anxiety, and more. Information is provided through the following:
Danette observed the burden of parents working a confusing maze in attempt to help their children with various problems. This observation, along with her love of children and compassion for those who struggle, prompted Danette to establish S-O-S Research.
With over 20 years of experience in data research and analysis, Danette has worked on topics such as education, teenage pregnancy & prevention, mental health services and authored numerous Guides describing how to access and use leading data sets on these topics. She has worked on feasibility and evaluation projects sponsored by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, Office of Population Affairs, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, The Northwest Area Foundation, The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. She also has provided her research and analytical talents to large organizations in the educational and insurance industry, the social sciences field, and high technology.
Danette currently resides in Silicon Valley with her husband, two children, and three cats. When time permits, she loves to hunt for treasures for use in her collage and jewelry projects, enjoys listening to her son’s jazz band, and favors trips to the ocean.
S-O-S Research also offers Coaching referrals and you can review the Directory of Coaches organized by area of expertise.
