Detta Darnell is a business owner & the UK's First Kaizen Muse Creativity Coach. She is also a writer/artist. She has presented seminars, workshops and group meetings for women and men throughout the country and is passionate about helping men, women and children to develop the habit of 'creative dreaming' then gathering the tools to make your creative dream more real.

It has been said her creativity is inspirational, as well as her compassionate ability to listen without judgement and come up with a wealth of ideas to promote small businesses, and help single individuals facing challenges of overwhelm, fear, procrastination and perfectionism to overcome any obstacles and begin living a life they love. 'Just create' is her mantra, work out what you want most and set about taking the small ways to get you there.

In 2004 she returned to the UK from Kefalonia Greece, where she had several businesses with her husband, as well as her coaching business. She immediately set up a women's group in her local area, covering issues of confidence, creativity, succulence and the art of living a splendidly imperfect life From there she trained with Jill Badonsky (author of Nine Muses and a bodyguard) in the Kaizen Muse Creativity Coach training and has just become the UK's first Kaizen Muse Creativity Coach. She works with companies, schools, and individuals in all aspects of the creative lifestyle

Much of the year Detta Darnell spends her time with clients on 1:1 coaching, helping small businesses to start up and progress, writing and making splendidly imperfect artwork. She travels around the country giving workshops and doing mbs fairs, holistic fairs and has just brought out a new range of 'Wish You' cards.

This year 2008 sees Detta hosting Creative Juice Workshops on the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia where she still has a house. May/June and September are the months earmarked for her one week Creative Juice Retreats - for real women and men complete with warts wrinkles and wobbly bits, bring your whole creative self, let go of perfectionism - on these retreats you most definitely have permission to play! In October, her one week retreat Rediscovering Yourself, will focus on healing, mid-life aches, and creative ways to rediscover your forgotten dreams. During her time in Kefalonia she will be hosting morning workshops on the beach, creativity walks for self discovery, doing some guided imagery and working on her latest book, "6 1/2 ways to live a very happy life"

Detta is passionate about inspiring people to find out what they love, look for what they are good at and to set about designing a life they love, at any age and in spite of any challenges & obstacles. Small steps and a 'so what I'll do it anyway' attitude are the keys to stepping into your dreams....
