Having been in one way or another within this field for the last 30 years, has only strengthened my view, that Natural Therapy modalities are an important and even vital aspect of staying or getting healthy.
We have come a long way.... a lot of natural therapy advice, which natural practitioners have given or suggested, and which in the past have been "credited" as advice from quacks, are now widely practice, eg; non smoking, watch your diet, regular exercise, healthy mental attitude and more.
I can remember as a child going to a GP, and the good Doctor was sitting behind his desk smoking a cigar, consulting me and my inflamed throat through a cloud of smoke.
Doctors these days are against smoking, with other words they are acknowledging that one can prevent getting sick by lifestyle changes. Maybe the days are gone, where Doctors suggested; that Diet had nothing to do with your health.
Anyhow, I don't want to sound biased, and I am certainly not against the Medical establishment, but I am against a negative outcome for patients. While I have the highest admiration for some sections of medicine, I am disappointed with the apparent negative view from the general side of medicine, towards the natural holistic alternative site of health.
I do think general medicine is suffering from a serious case of tunnel vision and a seemingly confrontational attitude towards the Natural Health Profession.
My personal attitude in consulting has always been to be in support of the patient, and not against any medical treatment.
If a patient needs medical treatment more than natural, than this is what should be applied. However once a patient has been stabilised, the full holistic natural knowledge of how to support this persons health should be considered.
Obviously, a lot of patients don't even need medical treatments, a natural approach is often all what is needed.
I feel that the medical system should acknowledge its weakness, that not enough is done in the area of supporting health, and rectify this with a constructive working together with Natural Therapists.
Let's face, can you see your GP, sitting down with you for "one hour", explaining about health improvement, lifestyle, attitudes, diets, nutritional supplements?
... and Instead of fighting a disease, the natural viewpoint of "supporting health" becomes even more important, as we see more and more health problems arising from lifestyle and environmental factors;
The quality of air, water and food has a major impact on our systems, and as more contaminated and polluted our living space becomes as more our systems will be compromised. Allergies and what allergies cause, may well be one of the greatest health threats.At one time we had only allergies to natural occurring substances. Now, there are thousands of new chemicals, which brings to question, >> Is our failing health the effect of:ACCUMULATING ALL THESE FOREIGN SUBSTANCES OVER OUR LIFETIME? Health should be our birthright, easy to keep or to obtain, the guide lines are clear,
Interestingly, above guidelines may be relatively easy to come by, but with societies pressures, are hard to practice, usually temptations get the better of us.... :-) Anyhow, if you would like to work on your health, feel free to use UseNature Health and Lifestyle Manuals as Guidelines. These guidelines are free for everyone to use, they are not related to any product or marketing strategy, they are the un-biased result of 30 years of natural lifestyle outcome experiences, and they are not claiming to be the ultimate answer. With too many individual factors to consider, the manual only ever claims to be a sensible guide, and feedback is invited.... The manual will be presented as articles and will be listed right here in a logical order, starting with physical-health manuals and venturing into mind and spiritual guidelines.
