Dr. N Rajgopal hails from an Orthodox Iyer family of Moola purusha Gopala Iyer, who established his family long back in a small village named Nemmeli near Mannargudi of Tanjore District. Born on 1st January 1955 at Mannargudi, around 100 kms from the birth place of Babaji. Mannargudi has a famous temple dedicated to Sri Rajagopala Swamy. Dr. N Rajgopal's forefathers were the Royal Jyotishas for Tanjore Maharaja and his samasthana. Pleased with the fructification of one of the forecast about plenty of rain in the drought hit state and birth of a male progeny to the King, the King gifted plenty of land and grants, which was enjoyed by Gopala Iyer and his descendents.

 

Dr. N. Dr Rajgopal is also in the process of building a Unique Shrine for Babaji. Babaji revealed that he will be present in the shrine in the form his life-size marble idol and give darshan to all. He will be visible only to a very few who are to be chosen by Babaji from time to time. Babaji also revealed that the shrine will have a huge SriChakra Maha-Meru of over 5 foot carved in green granite and a unique Navagraha Sannidhi. Babaji would be seated in the peeta amidst the 18 great Siddhas. The revelations from Babaji are in the form of subtle (sookshma) messages when Dr. N Rajgopal goes into deep meditation. It was a thrilling experience for the man as he did not have any of such ideas. Taken by surprise and enthusiasm mingled with fear and shock, he had to go into deep meditation on several occasions for answers or directions from Babaji.

On Friday Sulka Ashtami i.e., on 05.05.2006 at about 10.00 p.m when Dr. N Rajgopal was in a state of his deep meditation, Babaji', again through his subtle consciousness, initiated him into the Saptha Marga. The initiation session went on for period of over an hour. The experience of the initiation was something which one has to experience rather than explaining. In short, it was a minute high-power capsule for the whole being, where the ignorance converges with ego and melts to bring enlightenment on various aspects of life.

During the initiation proceedings Babaji dwelt on the Saptha Marga and how it shall be further initiated down the line. Babaji also authorized Dr. N Rajgopal to initiate people who would adhere to the code of ethics into the Saptha Marga. The people who get "SM" initiation would, upon following certain self-guided ethics, become the channel for linkage between Babaji and the Society.
