Although Fuyiu Yip, L.Ac. was trained in Traditional Chinese
Medicine (TCM), she felt as if the truly individualistic piece of Chinese
Medicine was missing. Why were patients with similar symtomatolgy receiving the same basic points with only a couple of extra points to "round out" the individual's disharmonies? As a result, she extended her practice into a more classical
form called True Acupuncture as described by George Soulie de Morant, which was exactly what Fuyiu always thought acupuncture to be.
Classical True Acupuncture involves extensive pulse
diagnosis, resulting in a point by point study of an individual’s energetic
responses to each needle - in other words, an understanding of how one needle
affects the body before adding another. This, along with precise point
location, yields maximum therapeutic results with minimal number of needles (only 1-4 per treatment) and
treatments.
With this style, Fuyiu found that a wider range of conditions were treated more effectively with longer lasting results, including: allergies, infertility, skin disorders, menopause, PMS, chronic and acute pain, digestive complaints, weight loss and many more. And of course, owing to her location, Colorado sports medicine and acupuncture work superbly hand in hand to get active individuals back on track.
Chinese Herbal Medicine is also a superb compliment to
acupuncture, but only when necessary. Fuyiu's philosophy is to establish a
clear understanding about a person’s energetic disharmonies via acupuncture
first, without having the herbs interfere with the pulses. Once this is established,
herbs can be added with great results.
After all, every individual health profile is unique and
should be treated as such.
And don't forget! Cosmetic Acupuncture provides a natural, non-invasive, no-recovery-time-required alternative to cosmetic surgery and botox. Facial acupuncture can safely take years off one's appearance, while also addressing each
individual's factors for aging and re-establishing one's constitution, which will ultimately yield the healthy glow that we all want!
