I am a counsellor and parenting educator working in Dubai, UAE. I enjoy studying relationships and human development, and developed a strong interest in understanding the psychology of grief and loss. This led to studies in Transactional Analysis, Progressive Counselling and Gestalt Therapy. Throughout my adult life I have worked almost continuously as a counsellor, renewing my commitment through regular participation in supervision and learning.
My proudest achievement and simply my greatest ever work has been as a mother - parenting, raising, loving, enjoying and educating my four, now grown children.
I am immensely proud of them as people and see them all as my finest advertisement for success in the parenting field. Discovering the joy of motherhood and being a parent constitutes one of life's greatest joys for me. Nowadays I am also a proud grandmother.
Since childhood, books have always been my greatest delight, and therefore continuous study and constant education has been one of the hallmarks of my life. I also lived for some years in a meditation and retreat center where I worked as a counsellor and teacher of yoga and meditation.
As a mature student, I put my passion for reading, writing and research to work while gaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Studying English, Psychology, Anthropology and History also equipped me for embracing cultural diversity through my experiences as a regular traveler. I love to travel and explore, and have been blessed to be able to live and work abroad in some amazing countries. Working within an expat community provides me with many and varied experiences today!

After years of parenting involvement, both with my own family and many other families too, my observation is that being a consistent parent is both vitally important and totally necessary to ensure a happy family life. However, becoming a consistent parent is rather like trying to push water uphill if we are not consistent within our selves.
Instead of suggesting yet another style, my website addresses HOW to adopt a firm, clear, consistent parenting approach. This enables you as parents, to enhance and increase your emotional well-being.
My particular emphasis is on parents' emotional growth and maturity with the focus on self esteem, addressing feelings and habits, stress, relationship issues, responsibility and change.
