Writing Your Life Story Expert

Kevin Quirk believes that when we write the story of our lives, we open a door to discovery, healing, growth, understanding, heartfelt emotions, and the possibility of transformation. We face the core questions: Who am I? Where have I been, and where am I going? What have I learned and how has it shaped me? Kevin has been helping people of all ages write the stories of their lives for more than 10 years through his service, Memoirs for Life. He also teaches life-writing classes through the University of Virginia's School of Continuing & Professional Studies and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. As a ghostwriter, editor, and book advisor, he has assisted individual clients from all over the country, as well as Canada, England, Germany, Brazil and Israel. A former journalist, he is the author of "Not Now, Honey, I"m Watching the Game," which was featured by ABC's 20/20, National Public Radio, Redbook, Men's Health, The Washington Post, and more than 100 other media outlets. His memoir "Hello, Aibek," tells the story of his adoption of a baby boy in Kazakhstan. In adition to a Masters degree in Writing, Kevin holds a Masters in Spiritual Psychology and is a certified Psychosynthesis Practitioner. He is a former counselor with Authentic Living, specializing in relationships, career renewal, and life transitions. He also served as an adminstrative staff member of the Omega Institute. Kevin also recognizes that sharing our story in a book is a treasured gift for our loved ones, and for anyone else who may read it. In all his work, he supports the growth and enrichment of his clients.
