Ring the bells that still can ring,
Forget your perfect offering,
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in. (by Leonard Cohen, Anthem 1992)
One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began.... (Mary Oliver, The Journey)
If you don't break your ropes while you are alive
Do you think ghosts will do it after...(Kabir, The Time Before Death)?
Jump into the experience while you are alive.... (Kabir, The Time Before Death)
.....this beginning has been quietly forming
Waiting until you were ready to emerge...(John O'Donohue, For a New Beginning)
"But where was I to start? The world is so vast, I shall start the country I know best my own. But my country is so very large. I had better start with my town, but my town, too, is large. I had best start with my street. No: my home: No my family. Never mind, I shall start with myself."(Elie Wiesel, Souls on Fire, 1973)
From where I sit, we are all in the same kettle of soup, nobody is without self-esteem and very few of us have enough. Whereas we may feel good about ourselves in one area, in another we may feel vulnerable and unworthy. Since our level of self-esteem has profound consequences in regards to the quality of our lives, I invite you to come on an adventure and learn to love, respect and accept yourself. I trust that over time I will offer something of sustenance that will help you grow into knowing that you are enough.
See you further down the road.
