were created out of my desire to help other people who are struggling or who want to improve their quality of life.

My inspiration is born out of my own journey from desperation to Personal freedom. It was decades of a self created hell on earth that I barely survived.

By the time I was five I was already proficient at stuffing my feelings, denying my needs and desires and striving to meet others' expectations. I felt miserable in my own skin, alienated and inadequate.

Accomplishment after accomplishment didn't work. Being a "good girl" didn't make me feel worthy and being selfless didn't eradicate the shame.

At 15 I began a devastating eating disorder. At 16 I launched myself into 25 years of substance abuse. I became a two time rape survivor, a domestic abuse survivor, a grief survivor, as a result of my only sibling's suicide and my oldest daughter's current incarceration. I currently live with a chronic, potentially life threatening disease. But the biggest hurdle was the unrelenting shame.

Books, therapy, techniqes and the suggested changes gave me self confidence and self respect. But they did nothing for the pervading sense of not being good enough. I had to develope my own methods to remedy the shame. And I use them to help others that struggle with their sense of worth.

The past 15 years has been a journey of change, stumbling, determination and support from others. Today my life has meaning. Today I have a sense of personal satisfaction, a sense of worth and enthusiasm for the gifts and challenges that each day brings.

My illness was instrumental to the creation of Insite to Excellence, Inc. because it eventually prevented me from working outside the home as a counselor. But now my website enables me to reach more, and a greater variety of people than I would have been if I had remained working at a facility. It was valuable in guiding my course.

When I was 12, I pondered what my purpose was to be. For years, I was unable to figure out the answer to that question. Today, I believe that my experiences of desperation, degradation and struggle, and my journey to Personal Freedom, have provided me with a unique perspective with which to help others in their own quest for Personal success, freedom and fulfillment.

That is my motivation for creating Insite to Excellence.

And that is my Passion and Purpose.
