Laurie Zanelli LMT, CHt is the director of Sacred Spirit Yoga & Wellness Center in Joliet Illinois. She has been teaching and enjoying the healing practice of yoga for the past 15 years. Laurie has taken her teacher training with Shiva Rea and has studied with many master teachers including; Seane Corn, Anna Forrest, Andrey Lappa, Kim Schwartz, Tias Little, and Gabriel Halpern, of the Yoga Circle Chicago. Laurie is currently finishing another 200 hour teacher training through Moksha Yoga in Chicago. Laurie is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and has studied Thai Yoga Massage with Paul Weitz in Chicago IL. She is a Physical Fitness Specialist and Nutritional Councilor, certified through Cooper Institute out of Dallas Texas. Laurie is a Usui and Sa Sekhem Sahu Reiki Master and Teacher. Laurie is certified in Aromatherapy ,Herbology, Hypnosis and Iridology, and is currently completing her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. Laurie teaches and brings the healing art of yoga to students at Joliet Junior College. Laurie works with several large companies in the Chicago area as a Sleep Instructor. She has counseled and help many clients relieve Insomnia with breathing techniques, hypnosis and gentle yoga poses. Laurie encourages her students and clients to look with-in, to recognize the inner being, love, honor and accept the place where they are each day. To realize that every day (just like life) their practice and their journey will change! She has them work through the challenges to do the best they can to find grace and balance in the present. |
