Quotes and Book Excerpts from Lila Devi Stone:
• “Flower essences are conscious, intelligent forces. They have been given to us for our happiness and our healing.”
• “We can hasten and enhance our own evolution through employing the tools offered to us by a conscious, caring Mother Nature: flowers and their essences.”
• “When we trace the history of healing, we see two trends emerging: (1) a gradual shift of focus from matter to energy, i.e., from physical medicine to vibrational healing; and (2) the understanding that we can heal ourselves. Flower essences incorporate both directions of thought. They work by bringing us into a state of harmony and resonance with our true essence: our internal perfect, or higher, self.”
• “Mother Nature’s pharmacy has long been accessible to those who have pried open her botanical medicine chest. And to those who wish to learn her language—the language of flowers—she bestows her most wonderful secrets of vitality and well-being.”
• “Flower essences allow us to see into the soul of things: into ourselves, our world, and all living beings.”
• “Healing with flowers is not new. Throughout time, fine-tuned survival instincts have led animals to graze on plants for their restorative properties. Animals know when to abstain from food to regenerate their digestive systems; they understand when it is time to withdraw, lay low and sleep to regenerate their bodies; and they sense when to walk off into the woods to die. Flower essences parallel and support their ancient wisdom.”
• “Animals are extrasensorily perceptive. They live each moment with unbounded fullness. They give themselves to life, holding back nothing, abandoning all barriers. They love readily and completely. Is it any wonder, then, that animals are our teachers?”
• “Anyone who has ever cared for pets—whether they be scaled, furred, feathered, or fleeced—knows from direct experience the joy and fulfillment they usher into our lives. Our animal friends, from mongrels to prize-winning purebreds, touch our hearts. We laugh at their mannerisms; we cry at their passing. Their accomplishments make us proud; their illnesses cause us pain. Our animal companions wait for us by the window, the gate, the barn door. They are there for us through thick and thin, through our rockiest ups and downs. Without attending a single self-help workshop, animals possess extraordinary relationship skills—they love us without condition.”
