Lillian D. Bjorseth

Business Networking and Communication Skills Expert

Lillian D. Bjorseth has been in the communication business throughout her career. She graduated near the top of her class at the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

 

Her stints in public relations include time at Nicor Gas in Illinois where she did executive speech writing and investor relations. At AT&T (the first one!) she helped spearhead public relations around the world when the company entered the commercial computer marketplace. She got her first taste of branding and coaching as he helped mold the man who started computer systems from an engineer into a keynoter.

 

Since she left AT&T in 1990, she has started and run two businesses and helped tens of thousands of people build high-value relationships. She helps you improve people-reading skills so you can communicate better verbally, nonverbally and through email; polish your professional presence by better understanding what you say before you speak; and work an event, not just a room.

 

The Chicago Tribune dubs Lillian a networking expert, and the Association Forum of Chicagoland calls her the business networking authority. She’s a certified DiSC® trainer and is also an authority at preparing customized applications for your boards of directors, management and employees to improve communication, productivity and profitability.

 

Lillian is author of Breakthrough Networking: Building Relationships That Last; 52 Ways To Break The Ice & Target Your Market, an interactive learning system; and the Nothing Happens Until We Communicate CD/workbook series. She’s a contributing author to Masters of Networking.

She was among the first certified DISC trainers in the world and is the co-founder of the highly successful Great Chicago Networking Extravaganza.
