Hi, I am a graphic design/marketing consultant who is committed to a hands-on, client-direct, no-nonsense approach. I am not only sensitive to visuals for and presentation of printed and digital communication but am also a fusspot about grammar, language and messaging.

I am on the feisty side and have been a business owner of MAVERICK for nearly 20 years. I am also a proud single Mom of three wonderful kids, a black belt in tae kwon do and an overall go-getter.

For purposes of this course, I am pursuing a specialized interest in marketing for blue collar professions. I developed the identity and marketing strategy for my former husband's chimney company, and grew up among a family of school bus owners. Acutely aware of issues common among blue collar business owners who work directly with John Q. Public, I am seeking to make marketing tips available to this niche.

As an aside, and maybe worth consideration here up the road, I endured a divorce last year that was the result of a methodical, deliberate and calculated plan of my then husband and best friend of 30 years...ouch! The wake of devastation they left for me and my children was significant. However, I learned lessons too numerous to count about surviving the this kind of trauma and refocusing my attention toward more productive thoughts and actions. I have come out the other side intact, stronger than ever, and determined to flourish. I am doing just that, and so are my kids. I may at some point like to share the lessons I learned about the ACTIVE process of healing. It didn't come easily as it required a whole lot of energy at times when I felt spread very thin. But it can be done.
