My passion has always been helping people make the most of their life by improving their health through food choices and fitness activities. I decided early on that I wanted to base my practice in science, so I became a registered dietitian. Work opportunities led me to work in a diabetes clinic, and I obtained the certified diabetes educator certification. Because I've always been interested in fitness and know how closely food and fitness work together to impact our health, I studied to become a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. Finally, I wanted to use a personal, friendly, client-centered approach which led me to becoming a certified health coach through Wellcoaches. All of this training gives me a background and education grounded in science, with a practical, client-centered application.
