M.L. Cerpok Sensei has been practicing and leading Zazen Meditation for more than thirty years. Nearly as impressive, is his thirty year dedication to the study and instruction of non-competitive martial arts. As an author, lecturer, and martial arts expert, his teachings have been a catalyst for growth in the lives of thousands of people around the world.
While commonly associated with Zen Buddhist studies, Zazen with Cerpok Sensei is led as an inter-faith practice of sitting meditation. And unlike most types of meditation, the practice of Zazen with Cerpok Sensei includes a question and answer period whereby the practitioner is able to examine some of the random thoughts that surface during their meditation. This practice has proven to enhance mental and physical health and create a more positive outlook on life, as well as a more productive work and home environment.
In addition to operating Personal Development Center, Inc., a Arizona non-profit organization, Cerpok Sensei can be found leading weekly Zazen sessions at physicians' offices, wellness centers, and public venues across the Phoenix metropolitan area. As a public speaker nationwide, Cerpok Sensei's passion, humor, and dynamic energy become infectious, and starts his audiences upon a path of personal growth which lasts a lifetime.

"There is a quality, and an equality, within the nature of all things. When we begin to believe that we are greater than those things which surround us, there is imbalance in the world. But, when we act towards the mutual benefit of our selves and our community the world moves back toward balance."
"Remember, we do not need to end war in the world. We do not need to end hunger in the world. We only need to cultivate our own inner peace. We only need to feed another person. Simple!"
"Cattle dung is truly a great master! Why? Cattle dung simply sits there. No ego. No expectations. No ambition to be anything other than cattle dung, yet from it beautiful things grow!"
