Manuel Manga is an organizational design consultant and leadership coach with international experience consulting to large and small organizations. He has consulted throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe to both private and non-profit organizations. He speaks Spanish and English.
Mr. Manga’s work focuses on leadership, organizational effectiveness and the development of learning communities. He offers expertise in leadership development, management skills, valuing diversity, strategic conversations for the effective coordination of people and projects, team building, systems thinking, sustainability, and organizational learning. As a facilitator and coach, he brings an awareness of diversity, multi-cultural issues, and an understanding of human cognition. In a sense, his work is about human and organizational transformation.
Mr. Manga has worked with Conoco, Chrysler, Givaudan, The World Bank, BankBoston, Ben & Jerry’s, Plan International, Import Products, UNDP, USAID, Genzyme. He has coached executives and leaders at Conoco, Cemex, UNDP, Import Products, Grupo Maseca, Bank Boston, DEC, Plan International and others.
He was a speaker on leadership and learning systems at the III International
conference on organizational learning in Recife, Brasil. He has facilitated programs in Spanish for JP Morgan Chase and Citibank in Argentina and Chile, Grupo Maseca, and Givaudan in Mexico. Plan International in Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador.
His current program “ Leadership, Transformational Conversations, and Accomplishment” is designed to provide leaders with powerful conversations that increase effectiveness, builds teams, and produces accomplishments.
Previously, Mr. Manga worked as a Human Resource manager, and Organizational consultant at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he trained manufacturing and engineering managers in leading technical organizations, principles of quality management, managing performance, and building effective teams. During his eleven years at Digital Equipment Corporation , he received several awards, including the Excellence Award for Management Education.
Prior to his work at DEC, Mr.Manga worked as a clinical psychologist in Boston, where he practiced individual and group therapy.
Mr. Manga holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanistic Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Education in Community Psychology from Boston University. He participated in the Ontological Design Course, the Learning Organization core course, and the Biological Matrix of Human Existence course. He is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type indicator. He is a member of SoL, The Society for Organizational Learning.
