Dealing with on-going full-body pain has been the most challenging and
often debilitating experience in my entire life. Coupled with Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome, this condition stole my 20s and the better part of my 30s.
It was only in the last 3 months of 2007 that I was able to come across a
number of holistic practitioners who were able to combine their efforts
and help me make enough progress to see and feel the difference.
I will not let the years of suffering just slide past me. In my upcoming ebook I will discuss the frustration of being dismissed by Western medicine as a nuisance and what it took in terms of gaining knowledge, accepting responsibility and acting in the best interest of my health.
There are millions of souls, crying themselves to sleep every night with no hope of waking up to face a day full of opportunities. They have been told to accept the status quo and just learn to "manage the pain". I am making it my goal to spread the news that it doesn't have to be so... "Pain management" is not an answer. "Pain management" is an excuse and a convenient way to mask the symptoms, often having further detrimental effects than what started the problem in the first place. Curing the cause and taking responsibility for your own body is the only permanent answer. Whoever doesn't believe it is more in love with the delusion of being a victim rather than accepting the fact that they stand a chance to gain control over their well being, even after years of fog, fatigue and futile trips to your friendly local MD.
"Tell me lies, Tell me sweet little lies" may have worked great for Stevie Nicks' career but when it comes to my own health, "The truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God" is the only way I want to play the game of life.
