I have studied and practiced energy healing since 1993. I have formally studied Reiki, Healing Touch, and Restorative Touch, and am a certified Restorative Touch practitioner.
I am also a licensed massage practitioner (LMP) and a writer.

The second ( www.Tacoma-Massage-Therapy.com) is about things that you can do to help heal yourself from ordinary aches and pains such as back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, and other common soft-tissue-based ailments. This website also contains information about my private practice in Tacoma, Washington. Both websites are growing all the time, with new information added at least weekly.
In my private practice, my primary goal is to help clients live their lives to the fullest. I do this through “subtle body therapies”—a unique integration of energy healing with massage and other bodywork. Nurturing both the physical and energetic (subtle) bodies, the work cultivates physical well-being and personal growth.
I created my healing practice out of three main impulses: 1) the personal experience that we are healed and elevated when we acknowledge and work with the non-material aspects of being; 2) a felt sense that the body is holy, and a vehicle for great wisdom and evolution; and 3) the belief that we are all uniquely called to help each other, and that we must respond to that call if we ourselves are to evolve.
I was a professional writer for many years before making a career change to the alternative healing arts. My background also includes higher education fund-raising, parenting, poetry, peace activism, and choral singing. I am also a minister ordained through Spiritual Healers and Earth Stewards.

I have a particular philosophy of healing.
My work does not follow the traditional medical model. I believe that peoples’ energy systems, including their physical bodies and emotions, are designed to heal themselves. The way we heal from both broken bones and broken hearts is nothing short of miraculous.
And yet it perfectly ordinary, too. It is what we are designed to do. Therefore, if someone is not healing, the question to ask is: “Why not?” “What is the obstacle to healing?”
I believe that all healing is self-healing. Therefore, I do not focus on curing or fixing what is “wrong” with people. Of course, if someone comes to me with a sore neck or back, I will do everything in my power to help relieve their suffering and speed their healing.
But my main focus is not on “curing.” Instead, I work to amplify people’s natural self-healing abilities, to remove obstacles to healing, and to support people in living their lives to the fullest. I support and amplify what is right with people—their inherent wholeness, health, strength, goodness, beauty--their natural perfection.
