The history of I.D. 
In a quest that started over 20 years ago, Paul’s questioning mind was driven to understand what makes people tick.  His fascination with the “nature” versus “nurture” argument was first triggered while working in the area of financial services, specifically in the area of succession planning within family owned and operated businesses.  Time and again Paul saw business owners trying to push round pegs into square holes, simply to satisfy social expectations.  He saw eldest sons forced into positions that made them miserable and unproductive, and even threatened the survival of the businesses while the perfectly suited and motivated youngest daughter simmered on the sidelines.  Paul embarked on a period of intense study in his drive to find a solution that could be helpful, practical and transformational.  He studied the history of psychology including noted theories of many highly respected psychologists and philosophers including Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, St Thomas Aquinas, Maslow, Freud and Jung.  He also studied many of the existing profiling tools that promised the answer.  Through empirical research with people he lived and worked with on a daily basis - studying them and discussing why they did what they did - an intense, passionate, life journey began.  The I.D. System was born.

 

 

Since then it has been scientifically validated in the research study: The Instinctive Drive System™: A reliable and valid catalyst for improving team performance recently published by the University of Western Sydney.  Paul has also recently published his first book on the I.D. System, Natural Born Success

 

Paul's role today


In his role as CEO of Link-up International, the parent company of i.d.central and Link-up Consulting, Paul is still very much involved in the continued development and advancement of the I.D. System.  Whilst the fundamentals of each drive remain unchanged, the range of situations, experiences and practical applications for the I.D. System are infinite.  Paul is as passionate as ever about product development and the marketing of the I.D. System and is constantly creating new tools, techniques and strategies to ensure others tap into their life purpose and reach their full potential in a happy, productive and meaningful way.  Paul is also responsible for the coaching and development of his senior consultants and continues to be personally involved at the most senior level with some select global clients, regularly travelling overseas to work with their senior executive teams whilst also expanding the reach of the I.D. System.

 

Interests & Passions


When Paul is not at work he loves to relax, socialise and just have fun with his wife, their children and his many friends.  He loves being outdoors whether that is at the beach, swimming, boating or skiing.
