Paul J. Hannig, Ph.D. MFCC is a California Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychospiritual Counselor, Life Coach, and a past licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Over the years, beginning with his early days as supervisor and trainer at Philadelphia State Hospital, Dr. Hannig has developed many insights as to how early emotional pain and trauma are linked to the formation of severe personality, mood and anxiety disorders. His therapy approach is an amalgamation and integration of many different approaches and is central to the mind, soul and consciousness of the client.
From a deep assessment of the transformational model inside the spirit of the client, a therapy is constructed and designed based on the client's proclivities and the inclinations that are seen as healing to them. Some examples are:
- Those who wish to go deep inside and discover their most profound truths would choose the Deep Feelilng method.
- Those who prefer a more meditative, consciousness altering approach would utilize modified forms of hypnosis, creative visualization, and cosmic imagery.
- Other transformational modalities include cognitive restructuring, screaming, crying, rage catharsis, attitude reformation, goal setting, dancing, and music therapy.
- Life Coaching is available for those looking for more increased self-awareness, a more balanced life, better goal setting, problem solving, and stress reduction.
Dr. Hannig specializes in, but is not limited to:
- mood, anxiety and personality disorders
- depression and phobias
- adult survivors
