Ron Balagot (a.k.a. Gabriel Daniels) is the author of 3 life-changing ebooks: Confidence & Courage Tips...To Help You Realize Your Dreams (endorsed by #1 best-selling author of The DNA of Success, Jack Zufelt), Unleash The Courageous Child Within (endorsed by best-selling author and internationally acclaimed self-esteem expert, Dr. Joe Rubino), and Public Speaking Fear Conquered: Your Fearless Presenter Within UNLEASHED! (his latest ebook, endorsed by personal development experts).
He is also the author of a number of articles that have been published all over the web (since 2005).
In fact, one of his popular articles, Run Freely (A Lesson About Courage), was published and archived online by the Fortune 500 company, Colgate-Palmolive.
As a boy, Ron showed many signs of being daring. He usually did things (what many people would probably consider risky) without much analyzing or thinking beforehand.
He also loved performing in front of others...having discovered that he had the ability to impact audiences with his singing talents.
Of course, like many kids, he did not escape criticism.
Because of his short stature, he was teased a lot in school by other students. They'd usually call him "shrimp" or "shorty."
But in spite of this, he remained unaffected.
His healthy self-esteem and high confidence level helped him through those early years.
Truth is, he entered high school with a lot of self-confidence, knowing he could tackle any challenge that would come his way.
The only problem was, he used this positive quality in places that weren't so much a priority at the time.
In other words, he lacked direction. His focus was scattered all over the place.
You could say that his situation, at the time, could be compared to a guy who has a fire hose in his hands, but because he is not a fireman trained to firmly hold a fire hose with strong water pressure flowing through it, he isn't able to effectively control the water flow's direction (or area of concentration).
So, instead of being able to point the hose at a particular spot (or target), the water would end up getting sprayed all over the place.
Because of this (and other things most teenagers typically go through), he almost didn't graduate from high school (actually, it took him an extra year to complete it...and even by taking summer school).
In fact, he barely passed English classes (in addition to other subjects)...getting mostly D's as grades.
And this is not because he didn't like the subject (in fact, English happened to be one of his favorites), but because he simply didn't take school seriously (meaning, he skipped classes a lot, didn't do most of his homework, daydreamed or fooled around during class hours, and so on).
Fortunately, though, when he reached the age of 17, something wonderful happened. Something that would give his life more meaning and direction.
He was introduced to the world of personal development/achievement...by means of a book entitled The Magic of Thinking Big (authored by Dr. David J. Schwartz).
Since reading that empowering book, he has gone on to read countless self-improvement books/materials...and has used the strategies and principles he's learned to perform at peak levels in many situations.
Furthermore, he has used what he's discovered to overcome tremendous trials and rejections (including the disapproval and discouragement of relatives and friends) on his way to achieving most of his highest goals (which has resulted in positively impacting many lives worldwide with his God-given gifts).
At this point in his life, one of his main goals is to share what he knows with as many people as possible...so they, too, will be empowered with the tools/strategies to go for their dreams.
