
Dr Russell Razzaque has been a practising psychiatrist in the UK for over 12 years. In his distinguished career he has worked for a number of organisations including the National Health Service and the University of Cambridge. He currently practises in the East End of London as a Consultant Psychiatrist across several mental health and addiction treatment centres.
He earned his medical degree from the University of London in 1996 and completed a diploma in psychotherapy two years later. He joined the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2004 and is on the Specialist Register of the UK General Medical Council.
Dr Razzaque is a published author in human psychology and has provided expert consultancy to the UK Prison Service and Home Office (UK Government).
As a pioneer in his field, he was the first psychiatrist in the world to develop an online counselling service in 1998 and over the last several years he has written numerous articles for national newspapers including The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Independent and regularly provides psychological opinion on relevant news items for international news channels, including the BBC and SKY.
