I worked in Corporate America for 15 years as a Finance Director for a large Insurance Brokerage. This is where I perfected my people skills, successfully motivating and managing departments of 20-30 people making it necessary to know what was important to each and every individual. Interestingly, I discovered that the principles for success in business and the principles of having a JOYFILLED LIFE are the same. It all comes down to how you be with the people around you. How well do you treat yourself and others. How willing are you to be truthful and vulnerable. Even though it was challenging I was able to be truthful to myself and the people around me even in the competitive arena as Corporate America. In this environment I noticed that I had this spiritual journey to tell people about and that brought forth my first book. "Know Thyself, Tell Your Truth and Have a Great Life."
The work I have embarked on now is the challenge of creating "The University For Higher Living". This project is an alternative to our standard Universities where academics is the main focus. Here the main focus is to one's inner self. Creating a community of young adults that know they are responsible for having a great life, ergo The University For Higher Living. We will mentor primarily but not limited to young adults who have lost their way. All applicants must be committed to getting on a path that supports their having a great life. "The University For Higher Living", is a learning center that encourges entrepreneurship. Workshops ranging from, "breaking the chains of programs" to "the science to getting rich" will be the curriculum.
The University For Higher Living is still in the formulation state. It is a part of Total Wellness. Total Wellness represents Physical Wellness, Spiritual/Mental Wellness and Financial Wellness.
In addition to developing "The University For Higher Living", I own a business that markets Health and Wellness Products and various other divisions. I market the Total Wellness portion of my business to gyms and fitness centers. I also hold Life Liberating Workshops - "lift the limits from your life" 10 week series. I also find time to create collages - my new form of visualization, self expression and relaxation all in the same action.
