Passion is not always fun. Like anything worthwhile, pursuing your passion often involves great commitment, hard work and sacrifice. Passionate people are prepared to give up things to live a more passionate life. Passionate people are prepared to take risks and cope with failure. The compensation is a bigger, fuller, more interesting life with drive and purpose.

What are you prepared to trade off to be more passionate? What are you prepared to change in your life? What would stop you?

I remember when I was in the music industry, I gained no normal life just work, work and more work. How ever I felt trapped just music alone, you do need to have friend's, relationships a normal lifestyle. I gave up my career to have a normal life but the career got crushed by my producer who was mentally unstable. I still made the recording of my own original songs I wrote, when I was a child I wanted to be famous and be a singer have my own album etc. Well I got that for sure, my own cd realeased in 2008 and was on tv shows etc. I'm proud that I did my goal and dream regardless of the fact my career got crushed by the producer who ripped me off!

I congratulate you on fulfilling your childhood dreams Lori. You've got something special to be proud of for the rest of your life. These memories of success are what give us the true value of life "the substance". Even if you were ripped off it's past. You can look forward to the times when you remember the success you lived by reaching your dreams. Life is a passage that needs to have substantial events that are personally gratifying. You are one of the few who has successfully carried out your childhood fantasy. Wow; it rocks me! Well done!

Good on you Carl, The arts industry can be a nightmare with few achieving their goal without enduring doubts, legal traps, opportunists along the way, I have friends who too, are finally succeeding after years of working, pressure, break up of the group, and reinvention of themselves and they had a successful tour of the US last year, far better than their home territory in Australia... they are called Spiral dance and focus on Celtic music.

The final outcome lies in the original thought... borrowed from Rav Michael Laitman-www.kabbalah.info

Congratulations on fulfilling your dream in the music industry and releasing a CD! That's so exciting! You were obviously very passionate about this or you would not have seen it through to fruition when you ran into difficulties with your producer.

Pursuing our passions can be wonderfully rewarding, and at the same time, we must remember to create a sense of harmony in our lives so that we don't begin to feel "trapped", as you have said. If we become too attached to our passion, it makes it difficult to stay open and receptive to all the beauty that life has to offer and can sometimes prevent us from seeing new and creative ways to fulfill our passion to its fullest.

Within ourselves we should thank the people who rip us off or bully us because they have made us stronger AT THE EXPENSE OF THEIR OWN SOUL'S PROGRESS! Friends help and expect friendship or more in return. Bullies sacrifice themselves for our benefit. Yes, they don't KNOW they are doing that, but that is what they are doing nevertheless. And we benefit and they don't, in the loooong run.

A seemingly contradictory concept is that when we LET someone bully us, we enable them to bully others who may not be as strong as we are, may not be able to resist and survive. So we owe it to 'society' or others to discipline 'takers.'

The distinction in these two seemingly contradictory concepts is the 'when we know we are being taken advantage of.' When we don't know, we are not required to kick bully butt; but when we do, bully butt must be kicked.

It is an acquired taste. These sentiments are, of course, the way I feel, which grows out of my background and is my reality, which I am willing to share with you but would not impose upon you.

It will all depend on the personality of the person sometimes. If he/she wants to take the risks but then will be able to reach for that goal. Many of us wants to gamble between situations but try to weigh if it is really worth it to reach for a certain success that you can call it.
